I finally got the package and Christmas card out and I know I totally procrastinated on it. I want to use the excuse that I was sick but I did somehow manage to find time for some Battlefield 4 so there's that. It doesn't feel like I put enough thought into it. I don't know if anyone notices but I try my best to make the whole package feel special. Where the boring wrapping paper is only a minor element of it. It must sound strange without an example... so some gifts use origami as an element of the packing material so they come flying out as part of the package.
I heard this was a shorter shopping season and I have to agree with it. I shopped around mostly for myself but switched gears to order gifts for others as well. Most of those gifts turned out rather disastrous and there isn't much I can say about that. Maybe I have been giving to myself a bit too much? Overall the shopping season was rather crazy, every time I went to Target the parking lot looked like a minor version of Black Friday where the lot was packed all the way to the entrance but it was still possible to find a place to park.
I did buy random crap.
My friend said shopping for stuff doesn't make you happier and with an average of a pack a day I am inclined to agree. Life isn't about the material things, but it certainly seems to enhance it. Everything is like problem? Buy solution. Find good deal then it is a solution to a problem I do not have yet.
