Nothing to do with the Counting Stars song that I really enjoy listening to lately. I don't think it has anything to do with the star itself and it's not something I can mass produce to count. Do you remember when I first started folding this style of stars? It was probably during the end of summer and I thought they were very amusing. So amusing that I sent pictures out to start conversations with. But those four stars never increased. Nothing like the little puffy stars these stars are very dense and cool. It's easy to vary the colors and if you wanted, you can even turn it into a six sided star.
So I chatted with a friend and in the process of showing off I suggested meeting up and one of the things we can do is fold some stars. After all, this style is somewhat unique and is definitely different from the typical puffy star.
For one reason or another we never met up. No use in considering why. But during my next social gathering I wanted to give someone a star... didn't get around to folding one then. The social gathering after that... hey you have lots of paper in your car. The stack of paper used to fold the stars has sat in my car for months already. I said we can fold some stars... that didn't happen. I wanted to stuff a few in a Christmas gift. It didn't happen. The half star pictured above was completed last Friday and I left it on my desk at work.
What is it about these stars that make it so I don't want to fold them? The tedious task of cutting strips is done.
